The swearing-in was held before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday. The permanent secretaries are Adam Mahmud Kambari (Borno State), Esuabana Nko Asanye (Cross River State), Lamuwa Adamu Ibrahim (Gombe), Yakubu Adam Kofar-Mata (Kano State) , Oloruntola Olufemi Micheal (Ogun State) and Richard Pheelangwah(Taraba State). The National Examinations Council (NECO) has rescheduled the 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations (NCEE) over low registration. The council, in a statement by the Head, Information and Public Relations Division, Azeez Sani, said the examination, which was earlier scheduled for April 29 to June 3, was postponed due to low registration in many states. The Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) have confirmed the arrival of buses yo evacuate Nigerian students amid the ongoing in Sudan. In a statement issued on Wednesday, NiDCOM said the buses will take the students to the Egyptian border. The Federal Government has commissioned some projects and inspected others in the Edo-North Senatorial District of Edo state. The FG through the Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba, confirmed that about 60 Federal Government projects are sited in Edo State under the Economic Sustainability Plan. Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the interim suspension of its Chairman, Pastor Philip Aivoji, and Mr. Tai Benedict, who serves as his deputy, pending the resolution of legal proceedings.
