The leader of Labour Party in Kogi State, Mr. David Ameh, has left the party and led 2000 of his supporters into the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja received Hon. Ameh, his supporters and other defectors from other parties.
Speaking during a rally held at the local government square, Okpo headquarters said he had a survey of political analysis and discovered that Labour Party will not have a meaningful headway in the 2023.
He said, “But having sat down and did a comprehensive analysis of the political trends in the country, I have realized that the Labour party was not going to have a meaningful headway in the 2023 polls and I have therefore decided to pitch my tents along with my numerous supporters with the ruling party.”
Receiving the defectors, the deputy governor said he was happy that the defectors eventually saw the light of the day.
Onoja revealed the achievement of Yahaya Bello administration, assuring that Kogi state will benefit hugely if Tinubu elected.
