The Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo in Lagos State has backed the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu for presidency in the forthcoming polls.
It also declared support for the re-election of the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu in the 2023 elections.
The group gave its endorsement at its town hall summit which had critical stakeholders in attendance.
The leader of the Ndigbo APC in Lagos State, Joe Igbokwe described Tinubu as a leader of repute deserving of the full support of the Igbos.
According to Igbokwe, a vote for Tinubu is a vote for development.
He expressed confidence that Nigerians will see changes at both state and national levels, if they choose him to lead in 2023.
He challenged other presidential candidates to show their achievements to Nigerians if truly they deserve to be president of Nigeria.
“Since 2007 that Tinubu left office, he is still relevant in politics and power play in Nigeria because of his sagacity and the best thing we can do is to give him that support,” Igbokwe said.
The group is made up of Ndigbo from the 20 Local Government Areas, LGAs and the 37 Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs of the state
