The Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has called on the Federal Government to tackle security challenges in the country.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Eromosele Ebhomele, Obasa said that Nigeria peace and unity has been affected by insecurity.
The Speaker added that federal government should eradicate poverty and insecurity.
Obasa said, “We call on the Federal Government to work on eradicating poverty and insecurity and do what would make the people live happily. Nigeria had enjoyed relative unity since its independence. It is lamentable that the peace and unity in the country had, over time, been affected by different challenges.
“I also want to urge the National Assembly to put more efforts on devolution of power and fiscal federalism so that Nigeria would be better than what it is right now.”
