Gratitude and accolades for the Federal Government have continued to pour in following the seven-man presidential committee securing the release of the remaining 23 captives of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.
The Secretary, Chief of Defense Staff Action Committee, Professor Usman Yusuf on Wednesday in a statement announced that the seven-man Presidential Committee assmebled by Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, secured the release and took custody of all the 23 remaining pasengers held hostage by Boko Haram terrorists at 1600Hrs Wednesday.
Part of the statement read, “I am pleased to announce to the nation and the world that at 1600Hrs. (4:00pm) today, Wednesday 5-10-2022,”The nation owes a debt of gratitude to the Nigerian Military under the leadership of the CDS who conceived and guided the operation from start to finish. All sister Security Agencies and the Federal Ministry of Transportation contributed immensely to this Operation.”
Relatives of the hostages and Nigerians have since taken to social media to applaud the federal government for the freedom of the hostages.
A twitter user, Abdulmalik with the handle @engr_abdulmalik said, “Alhamdulillah!! (Thank God) My brother has regain his freedom who was kidnapped during Abuja-Kaduna train attack.
I really appreciate for your well wishes and prayers”
For @el_bonga, he wrote, “Today’s best news is that all the remaining 23 victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train abduction have released today. The army did a fantastic job to secure their release.”
“Thank God, that’s a cherry news to behold. Kudos to the CDS and all who made this difficult task possible. My sympathy goes to the victims. Wishing them quick recovery from the trauma.” @lazarusalizor wrote
