The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Saturday, stated that he is healthy and brimmed with the requisite knowledge to become the president of Nigeria.
According to Tinubu, it surprises him when oppositions keep claiming he is sick.
Tinubu said this at a dinner organised in his honour by the Kano Business Community.
Tinubu highlighted the knowledge-driven requirement of the presidency, stating that he also has that to offer Nigerians.
He said, “I’m neither running for a 100-yard or 500-yard race nor am I competing in WWE wrestling. I’m running for the presidency which is a knowledge-driven job
“I am very healthy.”
“Do I look sick?” Tinubu asked the audience.
Tinubu promised not to disappoint his supporters if elected President, assuring that their hope is renewed with him.
“To everyone of you who had come out today, I say a big thank you. Thank you for walking and spending your time for a better Nigeria. Walking for the mission and the vision of a prosperous country. You have done it with your expectation, that this country must be inclusive and serve you as a nation.
“For everyday I spend as your President, when elected I promise you with strong determination that you will not be disappointed. Your hope is renewed. Our nation will be accomplished. You will be successful as Nigeria will be successful. Thank you for your strong effort and raising the hope of other millions that wil come after you. Thank you. God bless you and God bless our country,” he said.
The APC presidential candidate is in Kano for a two-day visit where he is billed to hold series of strategic meetings and inaugurate the presidential campaign offices in the commercial city.
