The Labour Party (LP) has been accused of being an extension of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) with no difference between the duo’s ideologies.
This was revealed by the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adebayo Adewole.
Adewole, while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily on Thursday said that LP is now an extension of the PDP
He said, “Labour Party is now a branch of the PDP.”
Recall that Labour Party has a presidential candidate in Peter Obi who was once a vice-presidential of the PDP.
Adewole also revealed that his party had earlier pushed for a merger with LP when it was still ‘Labour Party’
“We wanted to merge with the PRP and Labour Party when it was Labour Party,” Adewole said.
This revelation comes on the heels of the ex-Osun LP’s gubernatorial candidate, Lasun Yusuf dumping the Labour Party and Peter Obi to pitch his tent with PDP and Atiku.
