The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has said that it generated N65 billion revenue in 2022.
The Command said it raked in N46,431,321,578.65k between May and November, 2022 as revenue, noting that when added to the revenue collected for the period covering January to April 2022 would be N65,462,925,412,30K.
The Area Controller of the Command, Babajide Jaiyeoba said that the command was able to achieve this through credible intelligence and effective collaboration between units of NCS residents within Oyo/Osun states.
He implored Nigerians to always provide useful information against economic saboteur in the Command so as to improve service delivery and safe guard the country.
He said, “When view against the revenue target of the Command for TR period covering January-November 2022, the Command exceeded her revenue target with the sum of Six Billion, Seven Hundred and Twenty Seven Million, Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand, Two Hundred Naira, Twenty Two Kobo (N6,727, 450,200.22K) representing 11.45 percent increase.”
“They include, 4, 217(50kg) bags of foreign parboiled rice, 914 kegs of petrol, 40 bales and five sacks of used clothing, 17 units of used vehicles, 1,167 pieces of used tyres, 13 sacks of used bags, one sack of used shoes, 69 sacks of dry donkey skin, and 80 wraps (42kg) of cannabis sativa.”
