The Governor of Ogun state Dapo Abiodun, has told the residents of the State to trust the All Progressive Congress with their votes during the general polls.
Abiodun added he has many things on the ground to convince them to support his re-election.
The governor reveal this during his second term campaign train in Odogbolu, Odogbolu Local Government Area to members and supporters of the APC.
He recalled that it was difficult for him to convince the people to vote for him in 2019 because there was nothing on the ground for self-marketing and he had to resort to begging them for votes to eventually secure victory at the poll.
The governor noted that he was grateful to God for the grace to keep faith with the promises he made while seeking to be the governor in 2019. He said that the residents can trust him further for another term of four years because his administration had always kept faith with his campaign promises of working for the betterment of the people and the state.
A member of National Youth Mobilisation, Southwest of Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling party, Omooba Adekunle Ayoola, an indigene of the local government, described the choice of Abiodun for another term as well as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential aspiration as one that the people will never regret.
Ayoola said: “Gov Abiodun has no doubt been fantastic with governance in the state, he has quietly been working all around the state to ensure development across all the sectors of the economy, be it education, healthcare, housing, agriculture, among others, so he no doubt deserved another term. And for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the truth is that the political icon has all it takes to fix the country and it is one choice Nigerians won’t regret.”
On the campaign trail with the governor are his deputy, Alhaja Noimot Salako-Oyedele, former Governor Segun Osoba, three former deputy governors, Mrs Yetunde Onanuga, Alhaja Salmot Badru, Sen Gbenga Kaka, as well as Sen Lekan Mustapha.
