The Arewa New Agenda (ANA) has declared the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the best candidate ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu is vying for president under APC in February 25 presidential election.
The Convener and leader of ANA, Senator Ahmed Abubakar MoAllahyidi, said that the group is prepared in galvanizing for Tinubu after a crucial meeting.
Ahmed said further that Tinubu has mentored many people that have contributed to the development of the country.
He said: “He sticks to where his ideology takes him- he has always identified with progressive politics. His opponents swing with the tide; they drift as they currently take them, if it is rosy today in one party you find them there, as soon as it becomes hot, they leave and nest in the next area of comfort.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a mentor to many people in Nigeria irrespective of tribe, ethnicity or religion- this mentorship was and still is (structured and unstructured) and here is a small recount of the prominent ones amongst them.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu took on the gory sight of Lagos environment on assumption of office that was occasion by pollution from different sectors at that time; He set up the 40-year development plan which has been followed diligently over the years culminating in the on-going transformation of Lagos
“He set up the mechanism for revenue generation that has moved Lagos from a 600 million Naira economy to over 50 billion and counting. He engineered the Inner-city metro line project that is currently moving commuters within the metropolis.
“He provided free eye care service with glasses for those who need them (Jigi Bola). He combated dreadful diseases, including tuberculosis by setting up clinics devoted to the disease and polio through immunization of millions of children.
The provision of Lekki corridor as a fast-growing real estate is one of the wonders of urban renewal that has become a model in Nigeria producing 500 units of houses yearly.
Under him, as Governor of Lagos State he pioneered the development of modern water transportation and BRT.
