The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has proven its capacity, delivering an excellent performance in voters registry in Saturday’s general elections held across the country.
According to Yiaga Africa, a civil society organization, “In 93% of polling units, the details of registered voters were systematically checked against the register of voters.”
The development has since attracted commendations for the electoral body who had put all measures in place to ensure voters franchise is not impeded with the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS.
The system manifested competence as the details of registered voters were methodically checked against the register of voters across the nation, recording an incredible 93 per cent polling unit coverage.
It is anticipated that INEC leverage on this unprecedented success for better performance in future elections in the country.
