The former Governor of Ekiti State and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ayodele Fayose, has congratulated the President-elect Bola Tinubu on his victory in the presidential election.
INEC declared Tinubu the winner of last Saturday’s poll on early hours on Wednesday.
Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 votes, while Atiku came second with 6,984,520 votes.
The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi emerged third with 6,101,533 votes.
Fayose who congratulated Fasoye on his twitter handle after the announcement.
He said this in a tweet on Wednesday.
He wrote: “I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his election as the next President of Nigeria.”
