Governor Ademola Adeleke has been accused of tampering with the Local Government (LG) system in Osun after being reported to have sent a list of chairmen and members nominees to the state assembly.
Reports claimed that the governor sent a list of LGA Chairmen to the assembly and they underwent screening within a 24-hour period.
The grouse in the public regarding the situation is the complete absence of public knowledge as to whom the individuals being screened are as their identities have been kept under wraps.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, speculation had been widespread regarding the commencement of the screening process for LG/LCDA bosses which the speaker, Adewale Egbedun openly refuted.
However, in what is a contradiction to his previous statement, the speaker confirmed on Tuesday that the screening had indeed begun.
