President Bola Tinubu will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, ending his vacation earlier than expected.
According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties.”
Tinubu embarked on the vacation on September 4, spending time in France before planning to continue in the United Kingdom. However, during his Paris stay, he held a significant meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation and international security.
This trip adds to Tinubu’s expanding diplomatic portfolio. In the first nine months of 2025, the President visited 11 countries on 15 separate occasions, attending multilateral summits, international conferences, and state events.
His engagements included addressing Caribbean leaders in Saint Lucia, attending the BRICS Summit in Brazil, and promoting investment partnerships during TICAD9 in Japan.
Observers note that Tinubu’s global engagements highlight his administration’s efforts to attract foreign investments while strengthening Nigeria’s influence in international affairs.
