Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday submitted President Bola Tinubu’s nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 presidential election under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The submission took place at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja and was witnessed by senior APC figures, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, several governors, and other party leaders.

Earlier, House of Representatives member James Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency, had collected the APC nomination and expression of interest forms on behalf of the President as part of preparations for the 2027 polls.
The development comes amid increasing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general election, with APC leaders projecting confidence in retaining power while opposition parties continue consultations over possible alliances to challenge the ruling party.
