The abducted daughters of Abubakar Furfuri, a former accountant-general in Zamfara state have been released by bandits. The five girls were reportedly abducted from their home in Furfuri, a community in Bungudu LGA in March. The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has begun fixing some roads damaged by flood in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta State. Its spokesman, Ibitoye Abosede, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday. Abosede said the move was on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari.
