Former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Abdulaziz Yari, has launched a political support platform aimed at mobilising nationwide backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
The initiative was announced in a statement released on Saturday by political aides to the former governor and the National Facilitators of the movement, Mohammed Abubakar and his deputy Emmanuel Osita.
According to the statement, the newly created group is known as The Renewed Hope Network.
The organisers explained that the idea emerged after Yari held consultations with political stakeholders, grassroots leaders, youth organisations, women groups, and former elected officials from across Nigeria.
They said the platform was created to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and help strengthen political backing for his administration.
The statement said the initiative is based on the belief that Nigeria is currently experiencing economic recovery and institutional reforms under Tinubu’s leadership.
“The initiative aims to strengthen and sustain the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu. Our collective resolve is anchored on the conviction that Nigeria is currently on a path of economic recovery, institutional reforms, and renewed national optimism under the leadership of President Tinubu,” the statement said.
According to the organisers, the Renewed Hope Network is structured as a national coalition bringing together grassroots politicians, public figures, community mobilisers, women leaders, youth organisations, and former councillors across the country’s 774 local government areas.
They described the movement as a coordinated effort to unite political structures across Nigeria in support of national development and political stability.
The statement further explained that the main goal of the group is to mobilise strong grassroots support across the country for Tinubu’s re election bid in 2027.
“The primary objective of The Renewed Hope Network is to galvanise massive grassroots support across the federation for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election,” the statement added.
Preparations are also ongoing for the official launch of the political movement, which is expected to bring together supporters, political leaders, youth groups, women organisations, and representatives from across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The organisers said the network is committed to strengthening Nigeria’s democratic culture while encouraging greater grassroots participation in governance.
They also called on Nigerians, particularly young people, women, and community leaders, to join the initiative.
“Details of the official launch and nationwide mobilisation activities will be communicated to the public in due course,” the statement added.
