The Lagos state Government has issued directive for all institutions below Tertiary level in the state to resume 2022/2023 academic year on Monday, September 5, 2022. The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, urgeing all schools to ensure strict compliance with the resumption date for delivery of quality and sustainable education in Lagos State. Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang after being deemed surplus to requirement at the Camp Nou. The ex-Arsenal star is back in the Premier League, signing a two-year deal after joining Barcelona on January. The national executive council (NEC) of The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)  has voted for extension of 196 day old strike in the process converting into a “comprehensive, total and indefinite” strike. The President of the Union Emmanuel Osodeke, said this in a statement on Monday proclaiming that the indefinite strike takes effect from 12:01am on Tuesday. In his statement, Osodeke said the purpose of its strike action is to “save public universities”. The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Emmanuel Osodeke, continurs to suffer more ignominy and backlash from institutions and the public alike following his infamous rant wherein he points fingers at a number of state Universities while labeling them quacks and irrelevant.
