The Nigerian Correctional Service has sanctioned 34 senior personnel and dismissed nine officers for alleged indiscipline and misconduct. The Service Public Relations Officer (PRO), Umar Abubakar, said the centre retired 25 others compulsorily for what it called offences that are inimical to standard practices. He added that four other personnel were issued letters of warning, saying the decision was approved by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Board.
